The new higher education establishment is designed as a forge of officers for the Ministry of national security and State border service of Turkmenistan. According to the decree of the first president of Turkmenistan, Saparmurat Niyazov, this facility was built by the famous French company Bouygues.
A white-marble building of the Military Academy was erected in the southeast of the Turkmen capital where there has been created a large zone for sport and recreation activities. The Olympic stadium stands on the right hand side of the academy. The modern Olympic water complex stands in front of the academy. The academy is to be complemented with one more study building, the officers' house, quarters for cadets, first aid point and refectory for officers, training and sports grounds which will be soon built in the territory of the academy's campus. Besides, there will be constructed special facilities, open-air cages and training grounds for patrol dogs.
The academy occupies a total territory of 14 thousand square meters, including inner rooms. It can accommodate 1100 cadets and students at a time. The building has training-apparatuses and fitness rooms. In addition, Bouygues company has fitted the academy with office equipment and furniture, new systems of life support, safety and communication.
