By the Decree of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan â„– 815 dated by February 27, 2002 On reorganization of state institution Military academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan and by the Directive of Minister of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan â„– 1/29/1/1248 dated by May 2, 2002 On conduct organizational activities in military educational institutions of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan Military academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan was redeployed in Shuchinsk, the Kokshetau oblast. By the Decree of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan â„– 1173 dated by August 21, 2003 On measures on military education system improvement the Military academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan was reorganized into state institution National Defence University. National Defence University prepares officers on program of higher professional education for Armed Forces, other troops and military formations of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the following specialties: Military and state management; "Military and administrative management"; Technical provision management; Logistics management; Moral and welfare management; "Military education management". According to the resolution of Council of Ministers of Defence of the Collective Security Organization Treaty dated by November 30, 2005 National Defence University was included into the List of educational institutions of joint preparation of military personnel for armed forces of countries-members of the Collective Security Organization Treaty. Defence University conducts preparation of military personnel with higher professional education (postgraduate). Objects of postgraduate education are to prepare scientific-pedagogical and scientific personnel of the highest qualification for the Armed Forces, other troops and military formations of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Military Institute of Air Defence Forces named after twice Hero of Soviet Union T.Y. Begeldinov. The Institute was created under the resolution No. 688 of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on June 4, 1996 on reorganization of Aktubinsk higher flight school of civil aviation named after twice Hero of Soviet Union T.Y. Begeldinov into Aktubinsk higher military aviation school named after twice Hero of Soviet Union T.Y. Begeldinov. Based upon the resolution of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 688 dated from July 10, 2003 Aktubinsk higher military aviation school named after twice Hero of Soviet Union T.Y. Begeldinov was renamed into Military Institute of Air Forces. The main tasks of the Institute are: preparation of officers for aviation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan according to the requirements of classifying characteristics; comprehensive and harmonious development of personality of students, formation of their ideological-ethic and military-professional merits; conducting researches which are aimed at military theory development, military issues of social sciences, armament, aviation military equipment;  improving security and combat readiness of troops, perfection of educational process; development and improvement of educational, material and social-living base. According to the resolution of the Council of ministers of Defence Ministers of Collective Security Organization Treaty dated from November 30, 2005 the Military Institute of Air Forces named after twice Hero of Soviet Union T.Y. Begeldinov was included into the List of educational institutes of joint preparation of military personnel for armed forces of countries-members of Collective Security Organization Treaty. On August 22, 1998 the President of the country “ Supreme commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the first graduation of officers-aviators. Since that time over 1000 officers graduated this institute. One of the main professions in aviation is pilot-engineer. Fulfillment of assigned tasks depends on professional skills of a pilot. Nowadays complexity of construction of modern battle aircrafts and helicopters demands thorough engineer knowledge from a pilot. That is why future pilots are trained not only to piloting, air navigation, air fight and bombing, but also to operate skillfully all the systems of aircrafts. Duties of navigator-engineer are as well important as pilot's duties. In the process of flight navigator makes navigation measurements and calculations on the basis of which he selects the heading, speed, flight altitude to the pilot in order to lead aircraft with maximum accuracy according to the assigned track and to place it to the target in the appointed time. Duties of navigator-engineer on operating air traffic include providing various ways of building and dismissing of arrangement, keeping in the arrangement every aircraft, provision of maneuvers and ways of landing, organization of aviation subdivisions management while fulfillment battle tasks. Mechanical engineer fulfills maintenance of aircrafts and helicopters, their systems, ground service facilities, which provide fuelling of aircrafts by petroleum, oil and lubricants, special liquids and gases. Radio engineer provides maintenance of radio electronic equipment of aircrafts and ground radio technical devises. Electrical engineer carries out operation and repair of aviation equipment of aircrafts: electrical equipment, electrical systems and power plants management devises, pilot-navigation equipment, height special equipment, board automated systems on control of aviation equipment condition. Electromechanical engineer provides maintenance and repair of aiming systems, rocket, bombing and artillery armament of aircrafts, ground aids of technical armament. Graduates are given officer's rank LEUITENANT, breast sign and diploma of standard pattern on graduation a higher educational institute. Since 2004 graduates of the institute carry out individual flights on aircrafts. Military institute of Land Forces. Its history began from the Almaty higher general command school which had been established in 1970 on the grounds of the Resolution of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. On February 11, 1997 by the Decree of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan the Almaty higher military school named after I.S. Konyev was reorganized into the Military academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan. By the Decree of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated by February 27, 2002 N815 the Almaty higher military school of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan was separated from the structure of the Military academy. On October 31, 2003 by the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan N 1080 the Almaty higher military school of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan was renamed into Military institute of Land Forces. The main task of the institute is to prepare high qualified officers of land forces. The Military Institute of Land Forces prepares officers on program of higher and secondary military-professional education on 12 specialties: higher military-professional education: Command Tactics of motorized rifle troops; Command Tactics of airborne troops and troop-unit reconnaissance; Command Tactics of tank troops; Command Tactics of artillery; Command Tactics of automobile troops; Command Tactics of food supply provision; Command Tactics of uniform provision; Command Tactics of liquid fuel provision; Armoured tanks armament and equipment; Command Tactics of engineer troops; officers for moral and welfare work; Command Tactics of rocket-artillery provision; Military translators. According to the resolution of Council of Ministers of Defence of the Collective Security Treaty Organization dated by November 30, 2005 Military Institute of Land Forces was included into the List of educational institutions of joint preparation of military personnel for armed forces of countries-members of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. Specialties of preparation for country-members of the CSTO are: Command tactics of motorized rifle troops, Command tactics of tank troops, Armoured armament and equipment, Command tactics of engineer troops. The Institute has modern educational and material resources, various means of technical education. Audiences for lectures, educational laboratories, rooms and classes of the institute are equipped with everything that is necessary for preparation of military specialists on the modern level of science and technology development. Modern technical means of education, computers are widely used in the education process. Physical education is paid a great attention in the Institute. Physical education is an important and essential part of military education. It provides physical readiness of military men to master weapon and military equipment, its effective use of in a battle, to endure physical exertions, neuropsychic exertions and unfavorable factors of battle activities. There is a material base for it: a beautiful sport complex with specialized halls (gymnastics, weightlifting, hand-to-hand- fighting, sport games, swimming pool and so forth), stadium, obstacle course and other sport facilities. Military Institute of radio electronics and communication was formed (on the basis of Military faculty under Academy of civil aviation) under the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 1330 dated from October 15, 2001 and the order of the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 1/29/1/068 dated from February 20, 2002 The aim of higher education institute is the preparation of qualified officers of anti-aircraft missile, radio technical troops, communication units, Radio electronics maintenance of aviation, troops and armament automated control system. Preparation of future officers in institute is carried out under the program of higher military vocational education on 5 specialties: Radio communication and radio navigation; Communication network and switching system; Radio engineering for anti-aircraft and missile troops units and formations; Radio engineering for air defence anti-aircraft and missile troops units and formations; Radio engineering for radio technical troops units and formations; Engineer of AF RK automated control systems. Today here are prepared qualified officers for anti-aircraft missile, radio technical, communications units, units of aviation radio technical maintenance, as well as engineers of automated troops and armament control systems. Since the formation of the Military faculty under the Civil aviation academy and Military-engineering Institute of radio electronics and communication there had been three graduations of officers, who recruited officers' corps of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan by signalmen and specialists of radio technical maintenance. Nowadays Military “engineering institute of radio electronics and communication is the only military educational institute of our country which prepares not only officers who may command battle collectives, but also to maintain radio electronic means in military units and formations of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Term of education in the institute is 5 years. After graduating the institute students get the military rank lieutenant. There is the necessary educational and material base in the institute: good classrooms, educational and methodical rooms, laboratories, classes, exercise rooms, computer classes, language laboratories, equipped by modern facilities. There is own training firing ground in the institute. Future specialists are taught by teaching staff which has a big life and military experience, which has high theoretical, methodological knowledge, professional mastership, which are able to organize and conduct any lessons of high quality, using leading forms and methods of education and upbringing. To raise physical training of the students there are held planned exercises, sport competitions, sport sections are functioning. Teams trained in the institute successfully participate in tournaments of Air Defence Forces AF RK and the Armed Forces RK. Cultural-enlightenment base allows to plan and conduct military-patriotic upbringing and military-patronage work on the high level, which positively effect on successful adoption of education program by students. Administration of the institute pays big attention to organization of leisure of the students. There is own club, standing amateur talent groups, Club of the Merry and Inventive team in the institute. To raise ideological and theoretical level of methodical mastership of military men the institute has educational and art libraries.
